About

My name is Liz Ryan. I am 19 years old and a social work student at VCU. I am doing my one year internship at Richmond Story House, where I facilitate expressive writing workshops weekly in the local jail, assisted living facilities, and schools. I created this blog because I recognize that I benefit from white privilege. I recognize that, as a pansexual woman, I may be subject to discrimination for my gender and sexuality. I noticed that all around me in the world there are a bunch of injustices happening to all different kinds of people. Now that I am in the last semester of my BSW, I have learned that it's on us, the people, to do anything about it. The goal of this website is to inform, educate, and implement. It's time for US to take legislation into our own hands.
